What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is probably not what you expect. Hypnosis is not sleep!   When I ask people what hypnosis is, they usually tell me it’s what they’ve seen on the TV.  A hypnotist says ¨sleep¨ and their subject slumps over or they run around the stage doing silly things.   Well I can tell you that it’s nothing like that.  That is stage hypnosis.  What I do is very different.

While people have different experiences, most find hypnotherapy very relaxing and pleasurable as they allow their sub-conscious mind to be guided and be more open to suggested changes in belief. As a hypnotherapist, I can help guide them into this altered state of consciousness safely.

The best way to find out what it’s like is to experience it. It really isn’t anything to be afraid of. The client is in full control of what happens throughout the whole session.

We all enter into a hypnotic state of mind on a daily basis without actually realising it (daydreaming, relaxation, listening to music etc).  And while we’re in this state we’re more receptive to outside influences that can change the way we react to certain situations.

Have you ever left home in the car and ended up at your destination but yet you don’t remember much about the journey there?  That’s because you’ve gone into a state of hypnosis.

By using various techniques during a session,  I can help people get rid of unwanted behaviours and patterns.  They’re then introduced to new positives ones that will be life changing.
